How much they value owners of their cars

After all the trouble I have had dealing with Toyota and the discomfort of a Toyota Corolla during summer with broken air-conditioning I asked Toyota if they would consider a goodwill gesture. My Corolla has a few months to go before it will require a timing belt change. A Toyota dealer had quoted me £196 +vat to do the job. This is not a huge amount and what better way for Toyota GB to say “we messed up and were sorry”

However Toyota doesn’t appear care. Well not £196 +vat worth anyway. One of Toyota’s Customer Executive’s sent this letter. Toyota will supply the belt for my Corolla free of charge but not the labour. How can I put this? - I was whelmed

Well that about £30 worth – their humbleness and generosity obviously knows its bounds.
